Roaring Fork Civic Bee

Calling all middle school students!

Youthentity and the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce invite students from across the Roaring Fork Valley to showcase their civic knowledge and community spirit in the Roaring Fork Civic Bee, on April 20th, 2026, at Cabondale Middle School.

About the Bee

Youthentity and the Carbondale Chamber are hosting a friendly, nonpartisan civics competition designed to inspire young people to learn about their government, understand local issues, and explore ways they can contribute to their communities.
Students in 6th through 8th grade will put their civics knowledge to the test for an opportunity to earn recognition and cash prizes. Top performers may also qualify for advancement to broader Civics Bee opportunities beyond our regional event.

Why Civics?

Youthentity and the Carbondale Chamber believe that engaged, informed young citizens build stronger communities. The Roaring Fork Civic Bee helps students practice real civic skills, celebrate local pride, and explore how their voices can make a positive difference in the Roaring Fork Valley.

How to Enter

Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student residing in the Roaring Fork Valley with an idea for strengthening their community through civic action is encouraged to apply.
