Taught by the experts at Gould Construction, Gallegos Corporation, Wagner Equipment and other industry experts, this semester-long mini-internship teaches students that there’s more to the industry than hammers and nails. Students learn how the construction business incorporates masonry, tiling, welding, and other skills.


Who it’s for: High school students interested in learning more about the many roles and career paths within the field of construction.


What to expect: Engineering & Construction program is a collaboration with local leaders in construction and building, providing insight into this dynamic and opportunity-rich industry.

  • The course meets twice weekly to introduce students to the many career paths in this dynamic and growing industry

  • Students receive hands-on instruction and project management experience

  • Topics range from safety to reading blueprints to building to high-tech tools
