Youthentity has two distinct but related pillars to its organization. The first pillar is personal financial literacy. We feel personal financial literacy is an essential life skill that everyone needs regardless of their chosen career. The second pillar is career development. The geographical areas we serve with our personal financial literacy programs include Garfield, Mesa, Eagle and Summit counties; areas served with career development programs, including entrepreneurship, are Eagle, Pitkin and Garfield counties. During the 2017-2018 academic year we served over 2,700 students.
Youth Served by Year
Through our programs we help youth prepare for today’s complicated and uncertain world through our career development and personal financial literacy programs. Our culinary arts, restaurant management and baking and pastry arts program is one of the top 50 programs in the nation for high school students. Our students compete at the state and national level and over the past six years, students have amassed over $920,000 in post-secondary scholarship opportunities. Our Design Team architecture program has aspired many students to study in the field in college; our new Engineering & Construction company program is poised for growth in future years. All our career programs help students figure out who they are, what they’re interested in and opportunities to try things on for size before they must make decisions that will impact their position and happiness in the real world.
